Who is Sydney?

"The thing that makes you say, 'I want to do something'-- that is the beginning of talent." --Stella Adler

"Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!" Sydney Badway is an actress and singer born and based in New York City. She recently graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she received a BFA in Drama. Sydney studied the Meisner Technique at the Meisner Studio, and spent a semester studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. She has had the incredible opportunity to perform Off-Broadway in the musical Comfort  Woman. Her various regional theatre production credits also demonstrate her versatility as an actress in both comedic and dramatic styles. Sydney has been trained in both classical and contemporary styles of theatre and is certified in broadsword stage combat from the BASSC. She has a great deal of experience with clowning, Williamson, Suzuki, and Alexander movement techniques. When Sydney is not working, she is most likely invested in a stack of books as it is her only quiet escape from the times we live in. An activist from birth, she is not afraid to stand up and fight for what's right, and loathes being "idle" in crucial situations. While she has many inspirations her biggest idol is Bette Davis, a woman who never hid herself or backed down when she wanted something. This is the kind of character Sydney aspires to have every day.
